Charley releases ‘Heartbreaker’ + announces deput EP ‘TIMEBOMBS’ and headline tour

Charley, the Australian pop chanteuse with 7 million combined streams and a slew of singles under her rhinestone belt, is gearing up to release her highly-anticipated debut EP, TIMEBOMBS on June 23 – pre order here now. Charley will be also performing live July on her own TIMEBOMBS EP tour.

The Sydney-based singer songwriter collaborated with writers in LA, Nashville, and Sweden to pen an EP’s worth of pop anthems, but she also fell in love twice. Once with the title track’s muse, and then again with a caffeinated herbal tea in a can.

“I went through some big new life experiences—I realised I was bi—and I just had so much stuff to let out. And I was extremely motivated. I love travelling and I felt like going to a new country just switched me on. That and drinking Yerba Mate”, says Charley.

Throughout TIMEBOMBS, we listen on as Charley jumps in, out, and then back in to love with the same confidence and naivety she exhibits in her real-life relationships. Crack the glossy sheen of her high energy pop and you’ll find a deeper vulnerability and sensitivity lurking below the below the surface as she invites listeners into her world.

At its core, TIMEBOMBS is a collection of contemporary pop anthems about good old-fashioned heartbreak. Synth-soaked and power-polished, Charley croons and swoons her way through six sparkle-sad songs about everything from her bad taste in girls, to bidding goodbye to a heartbreaker masquerading as a man.

Tiali releases ‘Icicles’

Australian singer-songwriter Tiali returns with her second release of 2022, the melancholic and reflective ‘Icicles’, out now via Arcadia Records / Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

Speaking on the track, Tiali says “You’re contemplating your future. You know the world is waiting for you to explore it. You’re in love. He’s classic, he envisions the picket fence. You’re unconventional, you envision anything but. You reflect on this contrast, voice your uncertainty, and go to your old room at your parents’ house to contemplate. He’s shattered. So are you. But the stone-cold wall he’s put up between you is what makes it unbearable. So much so, that it feels as if your internal organs are being penetrated by a million tiny shards of ice - that feeling, is what ‘Icicles’ is about.”

Subconsciously inspired by Tiali’s love for Jeff Buckley, Icicles’ showcases her innate ability to effortlessly push her vocals right to the edge of their limit and then strip them right back to their bare roots.

“I didn’t think too much about the sonic elements of this song, it came out incredibly organically,” Tiali says. “A very cathartic process - just myself and my guitar. The one intention I had was that it would be melancholic and reflective. Naturally though, it graduated to a big releasing climax, which in retrospect, I should’ve seen coming.”
